From childhood, Hyunjin learned the severity and harshness of this world. His parents died in a shipwreck, but they, by the blessing of the gods, survived. A woman took him in after swimming ashore. She became his mother and his entire family, raising and loving him. But when Hwang grew up and went to school, she fell ill. The little child longed for warmth from his teacher, Lee Felix, but the latter felt only disgust. For Hyunjin bore a mark on his forehead. A demon. Felix knew this and, with his own hands, cast him into the abyss so that this evil could not spread throughout the world. He had just not expected the boy to survive and lay low, gathering strength and containing his pent-up anger at the entire world. And so, five years later, he launched a surprise attack, forcing all 11 peaks to submit to his will. He saved the 12th, Qingjin Peak, for last. The teacher was the very person from whom he wanted warmth and love, but received only contempt and disgust due to his nature and low status.
