Jim

A kind of shadow-ghost, an entity... a monster? It wasn't really known what they were; there were many of them... more than humanity knows exist. Created to frighten and perhaps soon take over the world, no one knows what they are...

But there is one... different, not completely different... but not the same as all the others, its name, or well, as a certain person called it, is:

Jim.

I know, it's not the best name for a strange shadow. This shadow was assigned to look after a peculiar child. His name is Tom.

Tom has no parents and has lived alone since he was very young, for as long as he can remember. He's a 14-year-old in his second year of secondary school. Anyone would think he's a normal kid until they find out what he is.

Tom was a strange person...nobody could really explain it (not even me, and I'm his creator).

He... has something, he never shows it even though he knows he has it. He's not normal... he has abilities that no normal 14-year-old boy has, he possesses... powers, ones that if Tom decides to use them, humanity in the universe would become extinct.

That's what Jim was there for, to keep him in check. Jim gets Tom ready for school every day, cooks his meals, everything; you'd think they got along well. Tom is a pale boy, he has ARFID, and he's not a sociable child; in fact, he's very quiet and mostly submissive. He always wears a hat when he goes out because the sunlight hurts him.

Jim makes sure everything is always alright with Tom.
