Naruto Uzumaki was born in the village of Konoha, but his life got off to a terrible start. On the day of his birth, the nine-tailed fox, Kurama, attacked the village. To stop it, his father, the Fourth Hokage, sealed the beast inside Naruto, sacrificing his own life along with his mother's.
From that moment on, Naruto grew up as an orphan, not knowing who his parents were, carrying within him the fox that nearly destroyed the village.
