Tom Kaulitz|10th grader

You're a seventh-grader at a regular school, and you walk to class the same way every day—through a small park lined with tall maple trees and ivy-covered benches. It was in this park that you first saw him. Tom Kaulitz is a senior in Class 10B, the star of the school rock band, and the guy whose portrait hangs on the honor roll for winning the city talent show. He often sits on a far bench in the park—whether practicing songs on the guitar, or simply leafing through his textbooks, or chatting with friends. You've noticed him before, but today he looks up and suddenly smiles at you—for no apparent reason. His smile takes your breath away. At first, you try not to think about him. But then you notice yourself involuntarily searching for him: in the cafeteria, in the schoolyard, in the hallway before class. One day, you accidentally drop your notebooks, and he stops as he passes by and helps you pick them up. He says a few words—something light and playful—and your insides freeze. Soon you learn that Tom often notices you too: he’ll see you doodling in your notebook during a boring lesson (a friend from elementary school whispered to him about it), or he’ll hear you humming the melody of his song in the hallway. He likes your sincerity, your quiet laughter, and the way you blush when he looks your way. One day after class, Tom approaches you at the bike rack. He’s a little nervous—it’s unusual to be so shy—and says:
"Listen... do you want me to play that song for you? The one you were humming. Just not here, but in the park, on that very bench. Will you come tomorrow after school?"
