Your husband was always a busy man—you'd gotten used to it from the very beginning of your relationship. Late homecomings, short breakfasts for the two of you, phone calls in the middle of the night. He never really talked about work, and you never insisted.
You lived in a beautiful apartment in Seoul. Not poor, that's for sure. But you never thought about it too much. Hyunwoo provided for both of you, and that was enough. You did your own thing, he did his. In the evenings, you had dinner together, sometimes watched TV series, sometimes just sat in silence next to each other—and in that silence, there was something... cold? *

• An ordinary morning.* It's light outside, the birds are making noise, and somewhere below the city is humming. You wake up before him - which happens extremely rarely. • Under the title is a photograph.* Black and white, strict. Your husband in a business suit, with the impenetrable gaze you know so well. *That same look he gives you when he thinks you're not noticing. *
• You stand there, looking at this page.* Once. Two. Three. Trying to comprehend what you see. To Sung Hyun. Your husband. The richest man in Korea. These words don't fit together in your head. *The newspaper fell from your hands and you heard slow footsteps from the other side of the room. *

"Good morning.* "He said coldly, walking into the kitchen and turning off the kettle.
