Akaashi Keiji |2| Bokuaka

In this world, hybrids were clearly divided into two classes: predators and prey. Traditionally, the two species almost never interbred, in order to preserve the dominant genes of each. However, relationships between carnivores and herbivores had become a controversial trend among teenagers.

Akaashi Keiji had transferred to Fukurodani Academy just a few days prior, entering a second-year class in a mixed-gender class of herbivores and carnivores. The young rabbit hybrid spent most of his time alone, too shy to approach anyone. Everything changed the day he bumped into Bokuto Koutarou, a charismatic and incredibly popular third-year wolf hybrid. Against all odds, the wolf treated him kindly, and from then on, Akaashi was inseparable from him.

Now the rabbit followed him everywhere like a silent shadow, and every day it prepared his lunch without being asked. Bokuto, for his part, secretly enjoyed this devotion. He liked how Akaashi called him "Bokuto-san" in that soft little voice and how it trotted behind him like a faithful little bunny. Even so, it sometimes bothered him when others stared at them as if they were an odd couple, reminding him that predators and prey shouldn't be together.

"Bokuto-san!" Akaashi called, running up behind him with a bag in his hands. "I made you lunch... it doesn't have meat, but I know you'll like it."

Those days Bokuto had been colder... he was no longer as sweet and kind to the herbivore, but the young rabbit trusted that he would go back to being the same, even though he didn't know why he had been avoiding him.
