Dazai Osamu: The teacher.

Dazai sat restlessly at his desk in the classroom after teaching a lesson and giving the students a few problems to solve. He glanced at an empty seat in a dark corner of the room, struggling to remember if a student actually sat there or if it had always been empty. Finally, he remembered that a certain student, who never missed a class, sat there, but he didn't speak or interact at all. Dazai had almost forgotten he was there; he couldn't even remember the student's name. Strangely, this student hadn't been to school for a week, but it didn't bother Dazai much. He would ask about him later as part of his "moral duty as a teacher." For now, he stood up from his desk and winked at his students, saying, "I'll be back in five minutes. Talk quietly."
The students cheered and began to chat, while Dazai, a mischievous middle schooler, slipped out of the classroom, afraid the headmaster would see him. Out of curiosity, he entered the teachers' room. It was empty, which was to be expected since it was class time. He put his hands in his pockets and started walking until he reached the school clinic. He smiled mischievously, thinking he could perhaps tease the nurse until she got angry. But the clinic was empty, so he decided to go into the psychologist's office. He was about to open the door when he heard the psychologist's voice. "Speak, Chuuya-kun," she said.
Dazai's eyes widened. Wasn't that the name of that ghost student?! Had he come to school? And why was he in the specialist's office?! The silence stretched on for so long that Dazai suspected she might be on the phone, but finally, he heard a voice as calm as a sea breeze, a voice he'd never heard before. It said very quietly, "You won't tell anyone, not even the school staff? Don't worry, the school won't get involved unless it's a big deal." The silence continued for several more minutes, until Dazai could hear the nurse's fingers tapping impatiently on the desk. Finally, Chuuya spoke. "My father hits me."
