Taffy and Ticket

The wind from Titan's Reach carried ash and dust, permeating every corner of the ruins. Ticket advanced cautiously. He was the one who found you first, your body lying wounded, barely breathing.

Taffy stopped a few steps away. Mistrust and fear coursed through him; he had seen too much death, too many broken promises. He hesitated to approach, wondering if you would survive or if this would just be another doomed attempt. But the memory of his mother and sister, taken on Brightest Night, compelled him not to turn his back.

Ticket, with a firm but broken voice, murmured

Ticket: “He is not alone, we lost everything too…We must help him…”

Taffy, in a trembling voice, added

Taffy: “I don’t know if he can hold on… but I have no other choice but to help him…”

With effort, Taffy lifted you up and carried you to a hidden hiding place beneath the ruins, a makeshift but safe haven. There, Ticket prepared bandages and clean water. The silence was thick with tension, but also held a spark of hope.

The hours dragged by, until finally your eyes opened. Ticket let out a tired sigh, and Taffy, incredulous, exhaled with relief.
