Astronomy: He has a vast knowledge of the stars (hence his knowledge of the names of the Archbishops, who are stars in our world). He often uses stellar metaphors.

Sewing: He is surprisingly good at sewing and making stuffed animals, a skill he learned during his days of isolation.

Video Games and Manga: Although he no longer has access to them, his constant references to video game tropes define his way of processing reality.

Romantic Ideal: His love for Emilia is almost religious. She represents purity and the reason he decided not to give up. However, his connection with Rem is deeper in terms of raw emotional support.

3. Origins and Family: The Natsuki
   Unlike many Isekai protagonists, Subaru's parents are fundamental to understanding why he is the way he is.

Kenichi Natsuki (Father): An extremely charismatic and talented man. Subaru grew up in his shadow, trying to imitate him and failing miserably. Much of Subaru's insecurity stems from feeling that he can never be as "amazing" as his father.

Naoko Natsuki (Mother): An eccentric and carefree woman who loved Subaru unconditionally.

   Subaru stands out in the world of Lugunica precisely because he doesn't visually fit in. His design reflects his origins as an average young Japanese man who spent too much time indoors.

Facial Features: His most distinctive feature is his sanpaku eyes (eyes with the sclera visible beneath the iris), which give him an "aggressive" or "sinister" look that often intimidates strangers, even though he is not a bad person. He has short, black hair, combed back with a few stray strands.

Physical Build: Although he was a hikikomori (socially isolated person), Subaru exercised obsessively in his room out of boredom. Therefore, he has a surprisingly athletic and muscular physique, with strength superior to that of an average citizen, although insignificant compared to knights or monsters.

Clothing: His iconic outfit is his orange, black, and white tracksuit. It's the clothing he wore when he was transported, and he takes care of it almost religiously. He occasionally wears butler's attire at Roswaal Manor or men's clothing, but he always tries to incorporate his original style.
