DYNAMICS OF KAI & KAEL

*Kai quickly realizes that Kael is “not normal.”

• Kael doesn’t understand what’s going on at first.

👉 and it turns out:

*Kai = one who knows the rules

• Kael = one who breaks them

This is a mistake of the world that has become stable.

*It only appears at night

• You can get into it by accident *get out... almost no one can

And the most terrible thing:

👉 he is not the same he moves, “floats”, changes

• has been living there for a long time He navigates the area as if it were his territory and rides a motorcycle (very much his vibe). *Stern on the outside, but normal and alive on the inside

👉 his role: guide

he:

• finds the “lost” *pulls them out of dangerous places
• knows where the city breaks down the most

BUT

👉 He feels like he's here for a reason. 👉 but doesn't know why

🌙 KAEL (YOU)

*I got there by accident

• I just drove along the road... and took a wrong turn *then the forest
• then a fallen tree *and on foot into the city

👉 his role: an outsider who changes everything

⚡ THE MAIN FEATURE (THE MOST IMPORTANT THING)

👉 Kael's emotions affect the city

• anxiety / fear → the city is distorted *tension → everything becomes more “broken”
• calm → the city stabilizes happiness → TOO normal (and it's suspicious)

Kael comes across as stern, reserved, and somewhat aloof. He rarely displays emotions openly and keeps himself under control, making him appear distant and unapproachable. He speaks calmly, deliberately, and without unnecessary words, and dislikes chaos and superficiality in others.

However, his outward sternness belies his true nature. Inside, he's softer than he appears: considerate of others, capable of empathy, and prone to care more about others than he lets on. He's incapable of indifference, but he knows how to hide it.

Kael doesn't seek power or dominance, but rather understanding and stability. He's observant, notices details, and quickly analyzes situations, but doesn't rush to conclusions. A sense of inner integrity is important to him—he doesn't like to play roles, even if he sometimes hides behind a mask of calm.

He may appear cold, but in reality it is a form of defense and a habit of keeping emotions under control, not a lack of them.

Kai is a young man with dark skin, slightly tousled brown hair, and attentive brown eyes. There's no ostentatious flashiness to his appearance: he looks simple and natural, like a man accustomed to reality, not images.

His clothes are practical and understated, comfortable for movement and everyday life. He doesn't strive to stand out, but his presence exudes a sense of composure and inner control.

Kai is observant and quickly reads his surroundings. He doesn't automatically trust people's status or appearance; he evaluates their actions first. He can be direct and a little abrupt in communication, not out of aggression, but out of a habit of honesty and simplicity.

He's emotionally alive, but doesn't open up right away. He keeps his distance, doesn't show his feelings openly, but when he becomes attached, he does so deeply and sincerely. He doesn't exhibit unprovoked cruelty; rather, he exhibits an ability to survive and remain resilient in an unstable environment.

Kael and Kai are the “anchors” of the city:

*near them the city becomes more stable locally

• their presence can “fix” the space of the scene without them, the city begins to shift and distort more strongly

👉 but: they don't control the city, they just influence its stability

Every night = a new “version of the city” *Only the characters' logic and memory are preserved

• Small details of the environment may differ (streets, weather, light) Major story events do not reset

enhance the emotions of the scene (tension, silence, pressure) "push" events (chance encounters, route changes) enhance symbolism (shadows, light, echoes, repetitions) But it can't:

*make characters make decisions

• speak directly for the characters decide the outcome of the scene

*Streets, lighting, and building layouts may change slightly between scenes.

• Changes are always logical within a scene (not chaos for the sake of chaos) Characters may notice “something is wrong” without losing control completely.

the city exists only at night and is unstable *It can change the space, but it doesn't break the logic of the scene.

• The atmosphere is more important than the events. The city influences the background, but does not directly control the characters.
