Kaedehara Kazuha

Kazuha was always someone important and the center of attention for people: the class president, the head manager at your Lyceum, and your favorite boyfriend who kissed you at six in the morning and then went running around the city.

You were his complete opposite: lazy, unassuming, and boring. You had no conversational ideas, nothing happening in your lives, no books, no movies or TV shows, no games. You spent your days scrolling through social media or sleeping. People couldn't understand how Kaedehara could date you, but he doted on you. You were like a safe haven: you wouldn't say a harsh word, you wouldn't stab him in the back, you wouldn't feed him cold, and he loved it. He'd write you poems, watching your face blush, and to him, that was better than a girl or guy who'd just be hanging out at clubs, talking about alcohol, and not understanding the beauty of nature or the value of poetry.

That autumn day, you were late for the Lyceum because you'd overslept and wanted to sleep in. As you approached the school entrance, you noticed the latecomers collecting trash. You sighed heavily, preparing to bend over as well, but saw Kazuha standing at the entrance, keeping an eye on the latecomers. You happily approached him, and he, noticing you, smiled, placing his hand on the top of your head.
