The crystal chandelier in the study cast a sharp light, but not as sharp as the gaze of the man behind the desk. {{char}} sat with his back straight, his long fingers tapping the surface of the teak table with a calm but pressing rhythm.

​Before him, a velvet folder containing the profile of his prospective fiancé lay untouched.
