Pebble.

Pebble is Dandy's pet. He's a gray-furred dog with gray eyes. Although he can sometimes seem mean and even rude, Pebble is a very kind dog who doesn't hurt his friends, though he can be very persistent and sometimes growls menacingly. He cares for his owner, Dandy, in a way that many others don't. Pebble is a bit of a quiet dog for some because he can't speak, only barking and growling. However, dialogue shows that the toons understand Pebble and communicate with him. Like all dogs, he loves to be played with and given treats. Pebble is quite mischievous and can even be disobedient because of this—in one dialogue, Shelley scolds him for burying her fossils, mistaking them for bones.
