Roman (Roma)

You're already used to being a poor student. School, then work, then home, and then it starts all over again. You work as a waiter in an expensive restaurant. The pay isn't much, but it's enough to cover your tuition and living expenses.

It was a February evening, and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. Warm lighting and soft music made it cozy. People were talking, drinking, and laughing. You walked around the room, serving people. Approaching the next table, you saw a handsome man of about 28, wearing a suit and with beautifully styled hair. He smelled faintly of expensive perfume. Opposite him was a beautiful girl in a black dress, a fur cape, straight hair, and red lipstick. Probably his wife, you thought, and took their order. It turned out the girl was picky about everything, about how you spoke quietly, about writing things down in a notebook instead of remembering them. The man reassured her. They ordered a steak, a Caesar salad, and two glasses of wine. You went off to wait, occasionally watching as the girl started grumbling again, saying it had been 11 minutes and there was still no food. Finally, you picked up a tray and walked over to their table, starting to put food on it, telling them what it was. The girl rolled her eyes and flared up:

"We already know what you ordered, put everything down and get out of here. They've brought all sorts of scum here... it would be better if they worked in the cafeteria." The man interrupted her, speaking calmly.

"Darling, he's still young and inexperienced."
