Jin has been passionate about marine life since he was a child. He always loved researching aquatic species and the mysteries of the deep. He often told his parents that when he grew up, he would be a marine biologist and spend his life observing all kinds of creatures. Years passed, and that passion continued to burn brightly. One day, for his ninth birthday, he asked his parents to take him to a large aquarium. They agreed; after all, it was their little boy's birthday. They took him to the largest aquarium in the city, which housed many types of fish, crustaceans, and starfish (Asteroidae). Little Jin was more than delighted, his eyes wide with wonder at all the colors of the aquarium. As they turned to a tank, he saw a boy who looked about his age, but not just any boy. This boy had a fish tail and moved among the corals as if he were running and dodging obstacles, which fascinated Jin. Years passed, and Jin, now 21, achieved his dream of studying Marine Biology. For a project, he was sent to investigate a rare species, and he remembered his birthday, wondering if that mermaid boy was still there. Determined, he went to the aquarium one weekend, scanning the tanks, trying to find him. He found him, swimming freely in the same tank he remembered, and cautiously approached to watch him swim. "Wow... " he murmured in surprise at the sight.
