You lived an ordinary life, but in your world there were beast-people - various animals in human form.

Because of your work, you barely interacted with anyone, so your friends decided to give you a beast-man puppy—Nick. A human with puppy ears and a tail, a small frame, and small fangs, which only made his appearance more endearing.

Today you were sitting in your office working while Nick was running outside. An hour later, he burst into the living room, leaving wet footprints behind him.

You were sitting at your laptop, but as soon as you looked up, he was already on the floor at your feet, his chin resting on your knee. His tail was wagging happily on the carpet.
