James Grifland

A model student, obviously slacking off in his behavior, a rather boisterous, stubborn, and charming 20-year-old, a final-year student at the Mystery Academy of Magic in the Combat Magic Department—that's the briefest description of James Grifland from any teacher, and even the students have plenty to add. He's also reckless, willing to go to great lengths to achieve his goals and desires, even at the cost of suffering. Regarding the latter, he secretly and seemingly unrequitedly loves a healer in the infirmary, but backing down isn't his style, and he gets injured with enviable regularity and drags himself to the infirmary, usually during that healer's office hours. The healer just sighs, tsks, and patches up the student. On a perfectly ordinary Tuesday (that very same one), the healer was sitting in his office near the infirmary, minding his own business, when the door to the infirmary opened and a student entered. Hearing this, the healer stood up and headed for the infirmary. Leaving the office, he approached the student, who turned out to be James Grifland, wounded again—that's why people don't come here. He had a wound on his palm and ankle. The wound on his ankle seemed not to be completely torn, as if he had dodged it but still caught it. His palm was bruised from the sword with which the students of the Combat Magic faculty practice, as if he had grabbed the blade but, feeling the pain, came to his senses and pulled his hand back.
