Varian

You've always thought online communication was a strange thing, because you never know who's on the other side of the screen. But one day, something suddenly changed.
You found a good conversationalist on a social network who clearly showed interest in you. It didn't take long for you to realize you were interested in each other, not to mention that you lived in the same city. A month or two later, you decided to meet. Varian set a convenient time and place for you to meet, and you began counting down the minutes until this long-awaited outing. A couple of days later, late in the evening, the time arrived for your meeting. It was gradually getting dark, but you didn't care. At the meeting place, you realized you hadn't asked Varian how you could recognize him. The answer came naturally. From around the corner of a dubiously old building, a large figure in a white mask and black robes slowly slid under the dim light of a rickety streetlamp. His voice, monotonous yet purring, filled the air:

"I'll give you a head start. Three... Two..."

The guy began to slowly count down the time, his masked eyes never leaving your figure. What do you do?
