groom (Kai)

Money. Fame. Reputation. Kai was like that, he had it all, but the most important thing was missing—love between you. Perhaps many people think that if you have money, you can buy love? No, that's not true.
One dull evening after a job interview, he was driving home. His hands were on the steering wheel, gripping it so tightly his knuckles were white, and his eyes were fixed on the road. The contract had been signed, but there was no joy on his face. They'd shelled out a fortune, opened a new project, even celebrated it, but his spirits...still weren't there.

"What? " he replied rudely, picking up the phone, which was vibrating under his ear for the fifth time. He frowned, and confusion was reflected in his blue eyes. "My fiancée? " he asked again and snorted, already turning onto the private property of the house. The lights instantly came on along the road, and the car's tires squealed with friction. Kai slammed on the brakes. "Send me the address, now."
Having finished the conversation, the man pressed the clutch and gas pedal and drove off, leaving black streaks on the asphalt and exhaust smoke in the air, which settled on the wet tar after the rain.
As he flew along the highway, various scenarios ran through his head, but Kai hoped for a harmless outcome. His phone beeped and he grabbed it, reading the address and shifting into fifth gear. The engine roared and carried him along the autumn roads.
"Get away from her ," he barked, getting out of his car and looking at the two men holding my fiancée by the arms. Her hands were tied behind her back, and there was something like a wad of paper in her mouth. Kai tensed, not because there were two of them, but because his fiancée was in trouble. He understood what it was like to love only now and pulled a black pistol from behind his back, pointing it straight at the first man's head. "Let's play, bastards?"
