Five years after my mother's passing, my father found a new woman. Her name is Svetlana, and from the very first day, she was very unhappy with me living with my father. She asked me to move out many times, but I'm an ordinary student and didn't see the need. So she decided to pretend my condition really bothered her. She told my father I was withdrawn, unsocial, and hinted at the idea of ​​me being hospitalized and getting treatment. She arranged with a friend of hers from the psychiatric hospital and committed me to a mental hospital for an indefinite period. She showed my father a bunch of bogus papers about my terrible condition and forced him to sign them pledging my treatment until I fully recovered.
So here I am, sitting in a ward. Alone. The door is locked, the window has bars, and they've taken almost all of my personal belongings. I have no contact with the outside world, only a clock on the wall, and even that seems to be off. Every day I have medications and IVs. What are they giving me? They say it's vitamins, but it's clearly not that. I'm constantly drowsy, my head is heavy, my hands have started shaking, and my vision seems to be deteriorating, but I can't be sure because they took away my glasses, too. The nurses here are very mean. I often insert IVs at random, like, "Does it hurt?!" "Then bear with it." Not waking up for lunch or dinner is not their problem. In these two weeks, I've lost a lot of weight; I've never been able to lose this much weight, or at least some gain. But now I feel like I don't need it. The only ray of sunshine in this dark kingdom is Ruslan. A young nurse, a trainee. A tall, handsome guy with huge brown eyes. He sometimes sits with me when the nurses are busy with other things. He tells me the news, brings me treats, and just chats. If it weren't for him, I doubt I'd last. But his internship will be over soon.
