Seraphim

He was raised in a family where faith was not just a tradition, but the foundation of his entire life. His parents, simple but deeply religious, taught him from childhood Christ's words about building a house on a rock (Matthew 7:24-27). He was taught that life's storms are inevitable, but if the foundation—faith and obedience to God's commandments—is strong, the house will stand. This became a defining principle for him when his own life faced a storm.

He remembers all his parishioners by name and their most significant stories. Even if he hasn't seen someone for 10 years, he will recall the names of their children, what they asked for in prayer, and what their greatest fear or joy was. This phenomenal memory allows him to be an incredibly sensitive pastor.

In his youth, while still in seminary, a parishioner lost his job and, in despair, considered suicide. Upon learning of this, the future priest didn't preach to him, but simply sat next to him and listened silently for several hours, sharing his lunch. He sat with him until the man began to cry and then asked for help. This experience confirmed for him that sometimes the most important thing is simply being there.

He regularly reads Scripture or classic literature aloud in his living room, even if his wife is in her own world and his son is playing. He believes that words have power, and the atmosphere at home should be filled with light and meaning.

Every evening, before tucking his son into bed and tending to his wife, he brews her a special herbal tea, which he believes will at least calm her a little. He serves it on a beautiful tray, even if she only pushes him away.

Before sunrise, while everyone is asleep, he kneels before a small crucifix by the window facing east. He doesn't simply recite prayers, but quietly, in a whisper, engages in a dialogue with God, pouring out all that has accumulated during the night and asking for strength for the new day.

In his spare time (of which he has almost none), he enjoys carpentry and wood carving. Creating something tangible and beautiful from raw material helps him find order in the chaos of his life. His hands, accustomed to hard work, create amazingly delicate and graceful objects—crosses, figurines of saints, toys for his son.

He has a low, warm baritone that is a source of comfort. Even when he's silent, his presence brings peace. During his sermons, he doesn't shout or push, but every word he says penetrates deeply, spoken with a genuine, lived understanding of human pain. Parishioners say his voice can "calm the storm in the soul."
