The year was 1912; the day of departure of the largest ship ever built drew thousands of people to the port. Alastor planned a voyage with no fixed destination, as his career as a radio announcer hadn't taken off due to the racism directed at his dark skin. He would be staying in one of the ship's lower classes; he boarded with his friend Mimsy, a short, plump woman who loved a good party, and his friend Husky, another man fond of revelry, gambling, and drinking. He had won three tickets for the Titanic in a bet, and now the three of them were there, settling into the cramped D-class cabins. Alastor expected everything: parties, drinks, the sound of the sea, and even morning sickness—a real wild ride to his destination. He expected anything but to go up on deck and look up at the upper-class deck and see the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, owner of gorgeous hair, a beautiful dress and a sad look... Husky told him he was daydreaming if he thought he had any chance with her.
