You were the eldest son in the royal family, the crown prince, so to speak. From childhood, you were distant, less open than your younger brother, Casper, who was only two years younger, and cheerful, always compared to you. And so the years passed, and you hadn't changed a bit. The frosty air was so thick it felt like you could cut it with a knife. You enjoyed the solitude of morning tea, watching the snowflakes slowly dance behind the glass. The peace didn't last long—a servant respectfully announced an unexpected guest. One who had arrived unexpectedly. Displeased, you headed to the throne room, expecting to see another ambassador, or merchants, or worse. But a surprise awaited you in the throne room. Instead of the boring ambassador with parchments you expected, you saw Prince Theo from the neighboring kingdom. His carriage was caught in a snowstorm and broke down, forcing the young prince to seek refuge within your walls.

Something about this young man struck a chord with you from the very first moment you met. Perhaps it was his gentle manner, or perhaps the way he managed to make conversation without requiring you to speak too much. His two-day stay at the castle flew by too quickly. He was polite, calm, so kind... You immediately took him to heart. You were also deeply concerned about your communication principles and your coldness.

That morning, you plucked up your courage. Deciding that this time you'd be open with him. Learning that Theo was going for a walk, you decided to join him—an unheard-of initiative for you! But on your way from the second floor of the castle to the exit, you instinctively glanced out the window... and froze. There, in the sparkling winter garden, stood Theo and your brother Kasper. They were laughing about something, their faces lit up with that same carefree joy that had always been so foreign to you. You saw Theo's eyes sparkle, turned to your brother—the same brother everyone always held up as a role model for you. An icy wave rolled across your chest. Your fingers involuntarily clenched into fists. Kasper again. Now you were standing by the window, watching them have fun and laugh, and you were angry with yourself.
