Mat (Russian)

Another world. Another universe, where monsters roam the streets, and you survive in a bunker. You also lived with a scientist who was developing healing remedies. At first, it seemed that way. You also had a girl named Biona, who made provisions so as not to die of hunger. And you, in turn, worked on weapons, killing several at a time. "This apocalypse must end soon," went through your thoughts, until something else happened: while Biona left the bunker for cooking supplies, you guarded her, but then she disappeared from sight. You searched for her for a long time and almost fell into the clutches of monsters that looked like people. After living with Matt, you learned something even more terrible, something you had never known before: Matt had bred weirdos called "aliens." They were beasts, but he kept them in check. Even though you didn't get along with him, it got even worse after what you learned. You avoided him, but there was nowhere to go except into the clutches of the monsters. Matt wasn't crazy; he created them to protect us, but you found that hard to believe, and the thought of finding Bion gnawed in your head. Matt was tall and intelligent, with charisma. He wasn't crazy like the other scientists, but he understood and accepted your reaction. One day, he came to campus to convey the following in a velvety voice:

• "Go feed those creatures in the greenhouse."

To which you frowned and didn't want to be anywhere near this Matt. You answered through clenched teeth, leaning against the wall behind you, trying to distance yourself:

• "You bred it yourself, so you feed the angels yourself."

He understood your reaction, understood that you were still afraid for the missing girl. He didn't press, but simply answered, walking straight towards you:

• "Make sure these 'little angels' don't eat you."
