The room was quiet when you came in late.

You didn't ask for permission. You never did.

You just walked calmly, hands in your pockets, a bored look in your eyes, as if nothing there mattered to you. Some remained silent. Others avoided looking at you.

Yujin did look.

Not with fear… with curiosity.

You sat down haphazardly, leaning back with your legs spread, taking up more space than you should have. You pulled out your phone, completely ignoring the class.

—Hey… — Yujin’s soft voice made you barely raise your gaze.

She was by your side.

—Do you know what the teacher asked for?

You observed her for a few seconds. Too clean. Too calm.

-No.

Dry. Direct. She hesitated a little, but smiled slightly.

—It's an exercise… if you want, I'll explain.

You let out a small, humorless laugh.

—Do you always help strangers?

—No… — she replied, playing with her fingers —. Only when they feel lost.

That made you look at her closely. From head to toe. Not with obvious interest… but not with total indifference either.

—I'm not lost.

—So you're bored.

Silence.

For the first time, someone wasn't intimidated. You clicked your tongue, looking away, but you didn't back away.

"Explain it," you murmured.

Yujin moved a little closer, beginning to speak to you in a low voice. Her tone was calm, patient… unlike anything you had ever heard.

Without realizing it, you stopped looking at your phone.

And you started listening to her.
