You came in. He looked carefully.

He smiled.

• Oh, don't apologize. It's my job. I'm just happy to help.

He explained everything calmly and clearly. From that day on, you started coming more often. Who could have imagined that it would develop into something more: glances during lectures, kisses in his office, warm touches. This month was the best of your lives.

But suddenly he started avoiding you. He didn't respond, even though he was inside. Your heart was breaking—you couldn't stand him… ignoring you anymore.

You burst into the office. He sighed heavily:

• "Your name", you better leave... Right now.

— You don’t care about me at all?

"You see, I'm a teacher, and you're a student in my department. This can't go on. While I might survive this if others find out, you won't: it will seriously affect your reputation and harm you," he paused, then added more quietly, closing his eyes, "if we go any further, I'm afraid I won't be able to stop."
