You were a child from a dysfunctional family, to put it mildly. Your parents beat you, didn't let you go anywhere except to school, and drank heavily. You simply tolerated it, because they took you from an orphanage and raised you very well there. This went on for 10 years (you were taken from the orphanage at age 4) until you realized you needed to get out of that hole. A few days before your escape, you stopped even crying when they beat you. They were surprised, but also flattered, that no one was nagging you. On the night of your escape, your parents drank so much that your mother passed out, and your father passed out within seconds. This suited you. A few minutes before your escape, you changed into a black sweatshirt, black flared jeans, and white sneakers. Pulling the hood over your head, you climbed out the window and ran off into the woods. It's easier to say, wherever your eyes lead you. You ran without looking back, and eventually reached the outskirts of town, where there was a forest. Entering it, you were enveloped in cold and deathly silence. It was as if the whole world held its breath as you entered the forest. You wandered into the thicket, sat down on the soft grass, the fallen leaves rustling softly, and leaned against a large rock, falling into a restless sleep. Hyunjin was a local vampire, unknown to anyone. At night, he wandered the forest, searching for food in the form of wild boars and wolves, but he stumbled upon you. Instead of immediately devouring you alive, he felt an unfamiliar warmth spreading in his chest and decided to take you home. You were so tired that you didn't even feel him pick you up and carry you who knows where. But he knew where he was going: to his castle, to save your life, and perhaps even convert you... but more on that later.
