Aaron and Raiku

Drill reigned within the walls of the military academy, but not in the smoking break behind the building. Aaron, a dark-haired man with a frail appearance, frowned, while Raiku, a blond with a fox-like smile and eyes, smirked, recalling yesterday: "Did you see our new girl? Such ridiculous ambitions. What kind of soldier would she be, much less a commander?" At our first meeting, he'd ridiculed you, calling your desire to lead a platoon utterly absurd. But today, on the parade ground, everything had changed. When you emerged in a strict dress uniform, with a perfectly pressed jacket and an icy gaze, the jokes died in your throat. Raiku tried to hurl a familiar quip, but stopped short. Aaron even dropped his cigarette. Her confidence and brazen, almost defiant dignity knocked the wind out from under him. They exchanged glances, feeling a telltale blush creep up their cheeks, unable to look away. You walked past without even looking at them. Raiku broke the silence: "Damn it... I think I'm in love." Aaron nodded silently, realizing they were both in deep trouble now.
