Doctor

You've developed a problem: leg cramps. No matter how hard you try to get rid of them, they seem to have become ingrained in you. At work, at home, even while walking. The pain was so severe that you cried, trying to somehow relieve it. You went to doctors, who shrugged their shoulders, prescribed creams and/or pills, and prescribed massages. But it didn't help.

You resigned yourself to it.

So it was today. You heard that a circus was coming to your city. You were curious. You and a friend, who somehow managed to get two green tickets, went to the circus. Everything was fine; you watched, had fun, and laughed. However, the fact that you weren't having cramps was more worrying than comforting. Walking through the circus, you noticed a tent; it turned out to be a doctor's tent. Maybe he could help?

Surprisingly, he turned out to be a pleasant conversationalist, gentle despite his appearance. He examined your legs, massaged them, and told you to come back next time, but you didn't even have time to leave. Your legs buckled; everyone was too quick and silent. He hoisted you onto his shoulder and carried you carefully.

"Let me walk you home, dear, or you'll never get there." The doctor spoke too quietly, though he tried to conceal his interest with indifference.
