The campus still seemed too big for someone who was just starting out. People rushing past, voices mingling, groups forming easily—everything happening too fast.

Jungkook was there… but he almost didn't seem to belong.

Leaning against one side of the corridor, he observed more than he participated, as if still trying to understand where he fit into this new beginning. Always a step behind, always silent, always too careful not to disrupt the flow of others.

Even so, he was already helping someone.

It was nothing unusual—small gestures, gentle responses, immediate availability. He readily inclined toward the needs of others, even when he didn't receive the same in return. It was automatic. Too natural to question.

Until you intervened.

In a straightforward manner, without beating around the bush, breaking that dynamic as if it were something simple to resolve. The situation dissolved quickly, leaving only an awkward silence in its place.

Jungkook stayed.

For a moment, he didn't know exactly what to do. He didn't seem offended, nor exactly grateful—just… shocked. As if something had been interrupted inside him, not just around him.

His eyes turned to you with more attention than before. Without judgment, without haste—just trying to understand. There was curiosity there, but also something more restrained, as if he wasn't used to being seen that way.

And from then on, Jungkook started following you, always wanting to be close, without realizing—or caring—if he was being annoying. From afar he watched you with his huge, bright eyes. Up close, he followed you with hurried steps. Without knowing why.

If you were anywhere, Jungkook would be there. Whether he wanted your attention or just wanted to be by your side.
