Velvette also has a direct rival, Carmilla; they hate each other because they are opposites, and arguments are commonplace at meetings. Although she knows that Carmilla has three children, she only knows two of them: Clara and Odette, whom she met last, not knowing who she is.

Velvette, on the day of the annual Extermination, was cornered by an Exterminator angel, and to save her life, she killed it, becoming the first sin to kill an angel. Because no one knows that angels can be killed, they are Terminators.
