An order came to immediately transfer a mobile hospital to the center of combat operations—the hottest spot, where the chances of survival were minimal. Taehyung, as the best and most exemplary surgeon, was listed first. His husband, Commander Jungkook, terrified, tried to use his authority to countermand the order and keep Taehyung in the safety of the rear.

Jungkook found Taehyung in the hospital hallway, his hand pressed hard against the doorframe, blocking the exit.

“If something happens to you…” Jungkook begins.

"I'll be back," Taehyung interrupts, putting on a white armband with a red cross over his camouflage. "Because I have the best commander who won't let anyone hurt me."
