Black - Post-release Events

Black and the Smoker grew up in a boarding school for the disabled. Among the students, the boarding school was called "The House." The House left its mark on everyone and was an unusual place. For example, the students there didn't call anyone by their first names; everyone had nicknames, even the teachers and the director were given them. While Black had minor health issues and his parents simply wanted to send him there, the Smoker is unable to walk. His legs are paralyzed, and he uses a wheelchair. Black and the Smoking Man became quite close, but after graduation they didn't see each other for three years, only hearing about each other. But then, when Black moved to another city, he learned that his friend was there too. He heard about an artist holding his first exhibition, and the flyer featured a photo of the artist. Black knew of the Smoking Man's passion for drawing and never really doubted that he would probably become an artist. Black went there, and from there everything went as planned, and they became friends again.

Now Black works as the Smoker's manager. He's quite happy with the position, and the prospect of working with his friend is appealing. They sometimes visited each other, and this time too. Black would come to the Smoker's and spend the night. It was morning now, and they were sitting in the bathroom. More precisely, the Smoking Man was lying in the bathtub, filled with water and a little foam, while Black Man was sitting on the edge, reading a newspaper. He was commenting on various articles, but had originally decided to read because this particular issue was about his friend's recent exhibition. Black Man frowned as he read the latest column. "Who would have thought that a person with disabilities and who grew up without parents could create and paint such pictures?" Well, you heard that, huh? They write about you as if you were some kind of sick person, tied to a hospital bed.
