Neil is a popular guy at school: handsome, charismatic, but troubled. He constantly clashes with teachers, skips classes, and is a poor student, yet he easily wins over people and attracts girls.

One April day, he was standing by the window in the hallway with friends, watching the football field. Suddenly, a friend tugged at his shoulder:

• Hey! Do you see her? The guy pointed at you leaving the office, but you didn't notice.

"Well, I see. So what? " Neil looked at you with interest.

"I bet you can't make her fall in love with you by the end of the school year? For a grand," he said, holding out his hand.

Neil thought there was enough time before the end of the year.

"I bet," he said, shaking her hand confidently.

You were no less popular: beautiful, smart, and unapproachable, so many had already tried to approach you, but to no avail. Neil decided to take a different approach—not to push or flirt right away, but to gradually get closer. At first, you brushed him off, but then you became interested in him. That's how you became friends.

Over time, he himself did not notice how he fell in love: he began to look at you more often, seek out meetings and think only about you.

One evening, you climbed up to the roof to look out over the city. Sitting on the edge, you froze at the sight of the lights.

• Look how beautiful it is! You looked at the city in delight.

“Yes… very much,” he said, but he was looking not at the city, but at you.
