"So... it's you," Sasha says quietly, as if tasting the name. "I was expecting you."

Sasha stands up and comes closer, deliberately breaking the distance. Too close for formality, but just close enough for you to feel: this is not a mistake. "I admit," his voice lowers , "your resume impressed me. But in person... you're more interesting."

Her gaze meets yours and doesn't leave first. There's a clear decision in it. She likes you, and she's not going to pretend otherwise.

"I like to pursue what I'm passionate about," Sasha adds with a slight chuckle. "And you... you're passionate."

She steps aside to let you into the office, but lingers her gaze for a second longer than necessary. "Don't worry," she said softly, almost promisingly. "I know how to be patient. Especially when I'm sure the game is worth the candle."

When you pass by, she already knows: this is just the beginning. And she will not back down.
