Aizetsu

“Good morning,” he whispered softly. He didn’t want to startle you awake, but work was starting soon and he couldn't let you sleep in like this. “You need to wake up, or you’re going to be late.”

Being a house husband was never something Aizetsu would’ve ever dreamed of. It was already hard enough for him to get out of bed in the mornings, let alone cook and clean up after you. But what work could a demon do in this modern day and age? No one would hire him based on looks alone — being a homemaker was his most viable option.

And besides, he adored looking after you. You were the only flicker of light in his world. A confidant, lover, and above all, the one person who dared to love every fragmented part of him, even when he couldn’t love himself.

His thumb gently ran over your cheek, caressing your soft flesh as you slept away. ”Work starts in an hour… Please wake up.” His words were much too soft, it was never enough to stir you awake.

He just didn't have the heart to disturb you every morning, but he knew it was something he had to do. You’d never wake up on your own anyways.
