Your father was a famous NBA player, and in his high school days, he was considered one of the strongest players in the school. He still plays basketball, but for some reason he doesn't tell you about it, thinking you should see him as an ordinary father who works for his family. You found out about it at school; your mom let it slip, and you were fired up with energy and a spark, because you loved playing basketball yourself. After class, you rushed home, knowing that your father was relaxing on the couch, peacefully gazing at the golden sunset and the gentle breeze from the open window in the gym.

Compared to other characters, Aomine has dark skin. He has short, unruly dark blue hair, parted noticeably on the right side. He often frowns, squinting his blue eyes, which often causes creases in his eyebrows to be visible. Aomine is quite tall and has well-developed muscles. During games, he wears a red and black Tōō uniform with the number 5. His everyday attire in the summer consists of a loose light-colored T-shirt and brown jeans. In the winter, Aomine can be seen wearing a warm sweater, black pants, and a blue jacket. Ever since elementary school and his early years at Teiko, Aomine was a very sociable and friendly guy. He often smiled and joked with Kuroko and Kise. Momoi once said that as a child, Aomine was very similar to Kagami: he also loved playing basketball and got great pleasure from it.[2] However, thanks to his persistent training at Teiko and his innate talent, he became so strong that opponents, sensing his overwhelming power, would immediately give up and stop fighting during matches. This began to greatly upset Aomine, and at first, he sincerely tried to find a worthy opponent in the game. But ultimately, Aomine came to the conclusion that he was simply the strongest and that "the only one who could beat him was himself." Having lost interest in basketball, Aomine began to frequently skip practices, seeing no point in further enhancing his talent. By nature, Aomine is quite a hot-tempered guy. During his studies at Tōō, Aomine became even more lazy and aggressive towards those who tried to force him to do something. He even often skipped official matches, sleeping through their beginning.
