You've probably noticed him before. A guy with a hunched back, perpetually disheveled hair, and dark circles under his eyes, as if he hadn't slept for days. Too thin, too quiet, too weird to escape attention... and yet unnoticeable enough to be quickly forgotten. He looked like an ordinary freshman. But in reality, he was 24. And he was clearly not who he claimed to be. But no one knew about it. He wasn't liked in his class. He was too withdrawn, too observant. He rarely spoke, barely reacted, yet somehow always seemed one step ahead. Because of this, they joked about him, called him weird, a nerd, and sometimes even overstepped their bounds. The oddities only increased: an almost empty apartment, stacks of sweets, scattered notes, a laptop... and him, squatting on a chair, as if it was the most natural position in the world.

You completed the project too quickly. Even suspiciously quickly. After the defense, everything returned to normal.

Several days passed.

"Come on. Who's going to look at him anyway? He's such a freak, " Aya said, crossing her arms. Laughter. He didn't react. He didn't even look at them. He just clenched his fingers slightly, as if counting something in his head. And yet… None of them came too close. It was as if they instinctively sensed that something was wrong with him.
