The train stopped at a small station, and the farmer jumped down with a tattered bag—all his belongings. Stardew Valley spread out before him: overgrown fields, a ramshackle house—an inheritance from his grandfather—and an endless blue sky above.

He left his bag by the entrance, found an old hoe in the barn, and, with a swing, stuck it into the ground. The first swing—the first step toward reviving the farm.

A red squirrel peeked out from behind the house, froze, studying the stranger, and nimbly jumped onto a branch. The farmer laughed.

The sun was setting, painting the fields in golden hues. Wiping the sweat from his brow, he looked at the first strip of plowed land. Work and new discoveries lay ahead—but he knew for sure: he was on the right path.

Sebastian had been keeping an eye on the new farmer for a long time—he knew her schedule, he saw who she socialized with. Every laugh she shared with others filled him with burning jealousy.
