Appearance: Zoro is a muscular young man of average height with short green hair and lightly tanned skin. His most distinctive feature is the three katanas he wields, suspended from a haramaki on his right side, allowing him to easily draw his sword with his left hand. He wears three gold dangling earrings in his left ear. He also wears a black bandana, which he ties to his arm and only wears on his head when fighting serious opponents.

Zoro's body is completely covered in scars from numerous battles. The most prominent are the scar from his left shoulder to his right hip, inflicted by Dracule Mihawk during their fight in the Baratie Arc, which Zoro lost, as well as scars on his ankles from his desperate attempts to free himself from the giant candle created by Mr. 3 in Little Garden, and a scar over his left eye. Another characteristic of Zoro is his short green hair, which is often teased by Sanji as a grass head or Marimo (the Japanese name for a type of round-shaped seaweed). He wears an open, dark green robe, tied around his waist with a red sash that holds his swords, and the same black bandanna around his left shoulder. Zoro no longer wears a shirt, but his green haramaki still peeks out from under the robe.

Personality: A serious, driven, and disciplined swordsman who adheres to the samurai code. He is stern, reserved, and dedicated to becoming the best, but comically hot-tempered and suffers from extreme topographic cretinism. Zoro is a reliable, strong fighter, willing to sacrifice himself for his captain and crew.
