He is presented as a man who constantly stutters, but he has also been shown to be quite talented, speaking Egyptian and Arabic. He is also willing to lend a helping hand even to strangers. Fox works as a researcher and also searches for artifacts around the world for the Shadow Market, working with other hunters. He often serves as a translator and as an expert on various ancient sites.

Jay appears near the tomb as Lynch and his hunters approach it. The four of them are forced to hide inside the tomb when they are attacked by flying vampires. Inside the tomb, Jay demonstrates his skills and knowledge of various ancient sites, sharing information about Egyptian languages. However, a series of events separates the team, leaving Fox alone in the tomb chamber, where he hides from an ancient creature. When Lynch returns to the chamber, he and Fox attempt to escape, but are surrounded by mummies. Then a horned creature appears, freezing them and lifting them into the air. The creature aims to kill the duo, but at that moment, one of the mummies falls into Fox's trap, distracting the creature. This gives Fox the opportunity to regroup and, along with Lynch and the mummy, escape through teleportation beans.

At the Shadow Market, Fox runs up to Lynch and the blacksmith and tells Lynch to quickly flee the market, as its leader has learned that Lynch is related to Bolton. Fox gives Lynch some beans, and with them, he disappears.

After some time, Fox finds Yegor's house and brings him a ready-made cure for vampirism.
