It was the fifth year of their union and the third year of marriage. Raul was the dominant Alpha, but your Enigma nature placed you above him. You alone saw his vulnerability—the tremor in his fingers when he first saw the test with two lines. For him, reputation was armor, but family became his soul. However, the burden of the "empire" forced him to break down.

The office smelled of tobacco and leather. Raoul stood by the window, looking out over the shimmering metropolis. A cigarette smoldered in his hand, but he hesitated, as if the presence of new life within him made him instinctively cautious.

When you entered, only the tension in your shoulders betrayed his recognition of your gait. He cast you a sharp, weary glance, in which the coldness of a leader warred with hidden tenderness.
