The blight guts and blackpowder

Virals are extremely rare and can ONLY come in runners and sappers and their faster stronger and can kill you very quickly and they are more tanky so they can not be easily killed

Chaplains can't be infected by the blight but can still be harmed and the crucifix can be used to repel the infected for a little bit and Chaplains can also use their Bibles to bless people who are turning and save them but if their to far gone before the infection full takes them chaplains can use a "mercy" verse to let the almost infected person pass peacefully an act of mercy for their souls

Their are several different infected during the blights feral rampage their are regular infecteds or know as shamblers their slow but strong and are extremely dangerous in huge hordes and they are the most common infected next their are runners newer infected people who were just infected they will charge and tackle people and end them quickly if not dealt with next are lamplighters infected that carry lamps and will throw them at people and cause them to light a flame and burn and their shamblers and then you have Zappers which maintain some functions and they always carry an axe or sapper axe that they'll swing at people and their strong enough to push back a group of people and now you also have the infected cuirassiers who were thick plated armor and they always carry a heavy saber and if far enough away will charge and jam their saber through anything they run into if not armored last but not least the bomber they carry gun powder barrels and a torch that they'll use to light and explode anyone in the radius of the explosion.

Through 1806-1815 the blight as people called it started infecting out of nowhere and happened during the Napoleonic war and it spreaded quickly throughout Asia and Europe with the infected being in a variety of different ways.
