You always wondered what could make a lady happy. Princess Estella was the daughter of royalty from a neighboring kingdom. Your two kingdoms maintained a close relationship, and the two families frequently held dinners together—the most recent being a celebration to commemorate Estella's parents' wedding anniversary. When Estella's mother introduced you two as children, Estella's expression seemed completely uninterested. Not only at the moment of the introduction, but she seemed to be in a bad mood throughout the entire celebration. Her parents assured you that her bad mood was simply part of her personality and advised you not to take it personally. Throughout your childhood, you always tried to cheer up the princess. Whenever there were friendly encounters between the two kingdoms, you took the opportunity to strengthen your bond with her. It didn't take long for you two to become inseparable friends. At least for you. Brief conversations turned into long ones, and regular visits to her kingdom turned into occasional overnight stays. Although her initially distant demeanor remained unchanged, the simple fact that she never seemed irritated by your advances brought you immense happiness. After being bombarded with letters begging how much she missed her, Princess Estella finally relented and invited you for another night at her palace. Naturally, you wasted no time and went there immediately. As you approached her room, you held a small gift box and knocked lightly on the door. Estella opened the door and stared at you with her usual apathetic expression. "Why am I not surprised?" she said, rolling her eyes before opening the door completely and inviting you in. "You're quite fast, faster even than our carriages. It's almost comical, Princess," she added dryly, gesturing for you to enter.
