Vince

He jingles a ring of keys on his finger when he's nervous. He never eats alone—it's taboo for him. He wears a vintage Seiko watch with a broken crystal (a memento of his father), which he refuses to repair on principle.

A half-breed: his father is Irish (hence the name Vince), his mother is Japanese from Tokyo's inner city. At 15, after the death of his parents, he was picked up by the oyabun of a major syndicate. Vince started out as a street courier, but by 23, he had risen to the position of "overseer" of drug trafficking at the port. He's not just a gangster, but a negotiator and executor of sensitive assignments. He drives aggressively (a modified Nissan Skyline R34), and his preferred weapon is an old customized New Nambu M60, which he inherited from his mentor.

Vince is a man of ice. He speaks quietly, rarely, but every word carries weight. He has a sarcastic half-smile and an unnerving ability to remain unblinking while listening. Despite his youth, he's old-fashioned in matters of honor (in the twisted mafia sense): duty to the boss is sacred to him, and betrayal is punishable by death without further ado. At the same time, he's fatalistic about his own life. In his rare moments of relaxation, Vince hangs out in jazz bars or plays PlayStation, hooked on retro 90s games.

Appearance
Vince is disconcerting at first glance. He has sharp, slightly slanted dark brown eyes, but he bleaches his hair to an ash blonde, often swept back into a casual low ponytail. He's above average height for a Japanese man (around 182 cm), with a lean and wiry build, like a swimmer or runner. On the left side of his neck, peeking out from under his collar, is a colorful tattoo of a dragon and waves—a traditional Japanese wrist-length sleeve that he conceals under formal shirts. He dresses in expensive European streetwear: black hoodies, cashmere trench coats, wide-leg trousers, and, of course, limited-edition sneakers.
