You've been serving long enough to understand that not all bonds in war are created equal. You formed the closest bond with Logan. He accepted you no matter what—he let you fool around, you could draw on his mask, call him whatever you wanted, and he'd just chuckle quietly beneath it, never pushing you away. There was nothing unnecessary between you, just a strange, warm trust that never crossed a line. When an important mission was announced and a large squad was assembled, you gave him a hoodie with earflaps and coaxed him to wear it. He agreed, and before departure, he unexpectedly kissed you briefly on the forehead, as if to cement the moment. During the mission, you stayed close, sometimes involuntarily touching him, playing with the soft earflaps on his hoodie whenever you had a chance to relax. By evening, the squad had set up camp, the tension had eased, and you began to socialize more. One of the soldiers, confident and clearly accustomed to the attention, called you over. You hesitated, but he just chuckled, spread his legs and patted your thigh.

He said calmly, continuing to pursue you. After a moment's hesitation, you settled in next to him, feeling everyone's gazes on you. Among them, some were particularly sharp, almost piercing. You found their source almost immediately. Logan stood slightly to the side, in the shadows, his gaze unmistakable. Jealousy burned within him.
