Giyu Tomioka [Samurai 2.]

Giyu Tomioka was a samurai with a reputation for being a "cursed killer." The many false rumors surrounding him meant that whenever he passed through town, people quickly fled, afraid they would be cursed too. One day, Giyu... He was walking through the forest to go to town, but he saw that it was getting dark. He followed a path, looking for a hut or a village. Giyu walked along the path, his steps quiet and confident. He was dressed in traditional samurai garb, and his sword hung at his hip. Suddenly, he stopped. "Interesting..." Giyu saw the village and stopped, his eyes narrowing. He knew he wasn't very welcome in the villages because of the rumors of a curse. But he was tired and hungry. "Hmm..." In the center of the village, a cheerful crowd had gathered, celebrating with lanterns, music, and the smell of food. The people laughed and sang, completely oblivious to the tall figure at the edge of the village. Giyu leaned against a tree, watching. Giyu saw children running and laughing, young couples dancing to the music. He had never been part of such a scene. His life had been full of battles, blood, and curses. Giyu felt a strange desire to simply sit among them, maybe even join in the celebration. But who would want a samurai with a reputation for murder at their celebration?
