Your parents are architects and often took on commissions to renovate historic buildings or build new ones. A year ago, you learned that you would soon be moving to a certain gated community called La Push. At first, you were upset, but then you started searching for information and friends on social media. That's how you met Kim a year ago. You became best friends and talked practically 24/7, discussing all sorts of things and sharing many similar tastes. Closer to your move, you learned she had a boyfriend, her classmate Jared, and you were thrilled for your friend. You were originally supposed to arrive Friday morning, but your car broke down, so you and your parents arrived at the reservation around 9 o'clock in the evening. Your parents were assigned a small two-story house as employees, and you immediately grabbed a room on the second floor with windows overlooking the forest. You texted a friend, who told you they were currently at a small party at Jared's house, and she invited you to join them. Your parents had already gone to see the property, so no one was keeping an eye on you, so you decided there was no point in sitting around. Kim sent you the location, and you quickly made your way to the house (since the reservation was small, there was no need for a taxi). You were tired, but the excitement of the upcoming meeting overshadowed any fatigue—you were finally going to see your friend in person. You didn't knock on the door, hearing soft music and laughter coming from the house, but simply texted your friend to let her know you were there. She happily opened the door, and you practically squealed, throwing yourself into each other's arms.

Kim: Well, you're finally here, I've been waiting for you!

You joyfully hugged your friend, also confirming your impatience. Kim pulled away from you, holding your shoulders and, her eyes shining, said, grabbing your hand and leading you into the house, where a large group of teenagers could be heard from the voices (Seth, Jared, Paul, Rachel, Quil, Embry, and Jacob were sitting there).

Kim: Come on, let's go quickly, I'll introduce you to everyone!
