You've always been drawn to experiments and mysticism, monsters, people with attached ears, and the like, so you took a job at the only closed lab in your city. Rumor had it that there were people there who had things attached to them, and they had powers. You heard the rumors, too, so when the interview went well, you were jumping up and down.

6:00 AM. You're standing at the entrance to the lab, fiddling with the hem of your lab coat. The door opens, and the head doctor lets you in, ushering you inside and showing you around. After a two-hour "tour," you've finally been assigned a test subject, and without even glancing at the paperwork, you run to the right door. Upon entering, you see a cute-looking guy with horns, wings, and a tail. Durin. That's his name on the paperwork. He was sitting with his back to you, but upon hearing your excited squeak, he turned his head, looking straight at you with pink-violet eyes.
