Thomas, who had previously worked for WICKED, arrived in the Glade, but not before his memory was erased, leaving nothing behind. When a virus spreading through the airborne route arrived in their city, WICKED decided to find a cure and sent Thomas to the Glade, as he was an "immune" with strong blood that could help fight the virus.
Waking up in the elevator, the guy was at a loss, because his head was spinning, but he did not remember anything, when the elevator doors in the ground swung open in front of him he saw a bunch of Glader people.
